What kind of software is the companion?+
The companion uses artificial intelligence (AI) to generate replies. It is not a person, therapist, or crisis service. Your clinician sets its care direction, and the software can make mistakes.
Why feel confident offering the companion to patients?+
Your practice stays in charge of the care plan, patient selection, and companion access. Patients get a place to reflect between sessions, built-in safety resources, and a way to bring selected moments back to care. Set clear review and coverage expectations, then start with patients who fit. Walk through the experience with us before deciding how it belongs in your practice.
Can a clinician browse every companion conversation?+
No. Clinicians cannot open companion conversations. They receive words the client chose to share, AI observations, and, for a tier 1 safety flag only, the flagged message with a few around it.
What does Save for session share?+
One selected message and only the extra context the client previews and approves. It is a snapshot for a named recipient, not permission to read future messages or the rest of a conversation.
Does an unsaved message stay out of clinical analysis?+
No. A separate AI reviews companion conversations, including unsaved messages, to prepare observations for the care team. Agreeing to the companion includes this analysis, with no separate switch for it. Save only controls which exact words are shared.
Who decides what changes in a treatment plan?+
The clinician reviews and deliberately approves changes. Working AI interpretations are not diagnoses and do not automatically become the companion’s instructions. The clinician can pause companion conversation without waiting for an emergency flag.
Is someone watching conversations overnight?+
No. Automated screening is imperfect and does not mean continuous human monitoring or a guaranteed response time. The practice confirms its review and coverage arrangements. The companion does not dispatch emergency services.
How many people can join the trial?+
The 60-day free trial includes unlimited patient companion licenses. Staff and portal access are free. Eligibility, consent and practice setup still apply; unlimited trial licenses are a commercial offer, not a promise of unlimited system capacity.
What counts as a companion license?+
One reusable license enables one eligible patient’s companion at a time. After the trial, each subscribed license costs $20 per month in USD. Staff logins and patient accounts are separate from licenses.
Can we move a license to another patient?+
Yes. Removing the assignment returns the license to your practice for reuse. The previous patient’s account and records stay separate. Reassigning a license does not cancel it or change your subscribed quantity; reducing your subscription is a separate action.
What happens after the trial?+
Your practice chooses its paid license quantity and confirms the paid-service start. Trial participation does not automatically purchase a license for every trial patient. Staff and portal access remain free.
How can a client stop using the companion?+
A client can ask their clinician or practice to remove companion access, or close their own account in the app. The practice manages the license. There is no setting in the app that turns the companion off, and a client can simply stop using it. Ordinary therapy is not conditional on using the companion.
Does this replace my EHR?+
The product focuses on support between sessions and clinician review. This offer does not promise an EHR replacement, claims processing or an integration with your existing record system.
Can we review the product and documents first?+
Yes. Request a walkthrough and review the available features, privacy policy, terms, practice agreement, business associate agreement and security documentation. Availability and the requirements for enrolling clients are confirmed with your practice.
